What we do

We support our community to reach their full potential.

Empowering women and youth to lead

ABIC designs and implements capacity-building programs, conducts policy-relevant research, and advocates for gender-responsive laws that promote equality, human rights, and conflict prevention.

We convene stakeholders to foster dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge, while mentoring emerging women leaders and supporting their access to decision-making environments.

The Pink Panthers

An all-girls motorcyclist club and one of ABIC’s women’s empowerment programs.

The initiative was launched by His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, then Vice President of Liberia, who became an honorary member.

The Talking Bus

To deepen our grassroots reach, we deploy the innovative “Talking Bus” project, a mobile civic education and dialogue platform that travels across Liberia to engage civil society, traditional leaders, and communities in open conversation on peace, security, governance, and human rights.

We believe that democracy flourishes when people are informed and engaged. Our civic education programs give citizens, especially women and youth, the tools they need to make informed decisions and advocate for change.

ABIC community engagement

Our flagship initiative

The Women’s Situation Room

A women-led peace mechanism that mitigates violence before, during and after elections, implemented in Liberia and across Africa.
