Founded in honor of Angie Elizabeth Brooks, a pioneering Liberian jurist, diplomat, and the first African woman to preside over the United Nations General Assembly. ABIC was created to carry forward her legacy of justice, gender equality, and bold, transformative leadership.. Read More
What we do
ABIC is also committed to ensuring that at least 10% of its activities involves the promotion of and nurturing of Africa’s next generation of leadership, both males and females. The Centre is named in honour of Liberia and Africa’s first woman President of the United Nations General Assembly. In honouring her, the Centre honours women in Leadership in Africa and worldwide
